An internationally co-supervised postdoctoral research fellowship conducted remotely, in partnership with Spectrum International University College (SIUC), Malaysia. Open to researchers from any nationality with a doctoral degree.
Spectrum International University College (SIUC) is a private institution of higher education in Malaysia, operating under the regulatory framework of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and recognised with code DKU055(B). SIUC offers programmes across Business, Engineering, Hospitality, and more — from Foundation through to PhD level.
SIUC's Research Management Centre (RMC) drives the institution's academic output, overseeing publications, collaborations, grants, and postdoctoral research. The RMC is actively engaged in SETARA and MYRA ranking activities, contributing to SIUC's growing international research footprint.
SIUC operates across two campuses in the Klang Valley — USJ 21 (Subang Jaya) and Puchong — and a learning centre in Johor Bahru, making it one of Malaysia's regionally accessible private universities.
Through its partnership with World Research Union, SIUC now offers postdoctoral research fellowship positions to international researchers, with dual supervision from SIUC faculty and WRU's international co-supervisor network.
SIUC's Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is designed to build international research capacity while contributing to the institution's academic output, rankings, and global visibility.
Applications are accepted from researchers across all of the following academic domains. Your proposed research title should align with one or more of these fields.
The following terms govern the WRU × SIUC Postdoctoral Fellowship. Please review carefully before applying.
Successful candidates will sign a contract agreement with SIUC for a duration of one (1) year, with the possibility of extension for an additional one (1) year, subject to available research projects and satisfactory performance evaluation.
The Head of SIUC's Research Management Centre (RMC) holds the right to recommend extension or early contract termination based on performance, available funding, or availability of suitable research projects.
Throughout the fellowship tenure, each postdoctoral fellow is required to publish at least three (3) Scopus-indexed journal articles, or one (1) WoS Core Collection (SCI/SSCI/SCIE) journal article. Conference papers do not fulfil this requirement.
All publications produced under this fellowship must carry Spectrum International University College, Malaysia as the first or primary affiliation. This is a firm requirement and applies to all journal articles produced during the fellowship period.
The fellowship is conducted remotely from the Fellow's home country. No relocation to Malaysia is required unless the fellow opts to visit SIUC's campus for specific research or collaboration activities.
All applicants must hold an active World Research Union (WRU) membership to be eligible. WRU membership is completely free and can be obtained at members.wrunion.org. Fellowship appointment cannot be processed without a valid WRU membership ID.
This is an honorary research fellowship. There is no stipend or salary associated with this position. The primary benefit is the affiliation, publication support, and the postdoctoral credential from SIUC under WRU facilitation.
