About the Journal

The Journal of Healthcare Analytics and Informatics (JHAI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by World Research Union (WRU). WRU was established in 2017 and publishes through WRU London Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 17313326). The first issue appeared in September 2026.

Focus and scope

JHAI publishes original research articles, systematic and methodological reviews, and short communications. Its subjects span clinical decision support and predictive analytics, health data and electronic health records, medical imaging and physiological signals, and the safety, fairness and governance of AI used in care. Peer review

Submissions are reviewed double-blind: authors and reviewers do not learn each other's identity. The editorial office aims to give a desk decision within two weeks and a first decision after review within six to eight weeks. Details are in the Peer Review Process.

Open access and licensing

All articles are free to read from the day of publication. They are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC 4.0). Authors keep the copyright.

Publication frequency

Quarterly, four issues a year.

Fees

An article processing charge of USD 1,000 applies to each accepted article, with a 20% reduction for WRU members and a 50% reduction for authors from lower-income economies. See Article Processing Charges.

Publication ethics

The journal follows the Core Practices published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). WRU is not a COPE member. The Publication Ethics page sets out how concerns are handled.

Identifiers and preservation

The ISSN is forthcoming. The journal will register DOIs through Crossref and deposit its content with the PKP Preservation Network once the ISSN is assigned. Until then articles are cited by their permanent URL.
