Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened for originality before peer review using similarity-detection software. JHAI uses iThenticate for this purpose. A high similarity index, or any evidence of text or data taken from another source without attribution, results in the manuscript being returned to the author or rejected.

The Journal distinguishes between minor unintentional overlap, which authors are asked to correct, and deliberate plagiarism or self-plagiarism, which is treated as misconduct under the COPE process. Reuse of an author's own previously published text without citation is not permitted.
